Dual
Carburetor Scoop
 |
The
SC520 STREETCATCHER comes with a fixed 8 5/8" carburetor
center to center spacing built into the base adapter as standard.
This
spacing is the standard spacing that just about every blower
manufacturer like The Blower Shop, Littlefield Blowers, Blower
Drive Service,
Mooneyham and Weiand use for their 4150-4160 Dual Carb Blower
Adapters when using 5 1/8" neck carburetors. This
allows the SC520 STREETCATCHER to mount onto all the popular HOLLEY,
AED, DEMON, QFT (Quick fuel technology), EDELBROCK 1400 and 1800/0

Carbs and CARTER
AFB Dual Carburetors with In-line or sideways mount. Dyers Blowers and Deans Blowers Carb Adapters are produced with a 8 9/16" Center Spacings which would require a little rotary file work and easing of the center holes to get the adapter to sit down properly on the Carb Necks, if you don't want to deal with this you could just buy a new 8 5/8" adapter plate.The 8 5/8" fixed center base is the only way the SC520 can be ordered when the optional dummy hardlines are desired. The SC520 STREETCATCHER can be ordered with a seperate carb adapter base arrangment allowing for center spacing adjustment with applications that may require a different center spacing, ie tunnel rams or custom applications. NOTE: This adjustable base won't fit the 'normally aspirated' dual carb Edelbrock setups which are based on a very close 6 1/2" Center to Center spacing. |

Because
the STREETCATCHER'S have a fully CNC machined front you get to choose
between the
'Classic Round' or 'Barndoor' style Butterflies. Quality stainless steel
shafts, anodized butterflies and an authentic looking dummy barrel valve
assembly clearly make the STREETCATCHER the obvious choice for the serious
Rodder or Racer.
Like a real injector, the STREETCATCHER operates the butterflies through a dummy barrel valve and linkage, the SC520 STREETCATCHER comes complete with an In-Line Link that connects to the Rear Carburetor or Sideways Mount Linkage setup to connect to your existing Carburetor operating linkage.
The scoop is designed to accept 2x K&N Part No E-3310 Filters, the scoop is shipped with a Hi Perf Paper Filter Elements mainly because of the cost of the K&N filter elements here in New Zealand. Just order them from your local K&N dealer and they will slip right in when the scoop arrives.
Each scoop is custom built to order and with the trusted GARLITS name cast into every one you can be confident that your order is backed by a standard that meets with the greatest name in

Air
Filters and Choke Horn Removal
 |
The
SC520 STREETCATCHER requires basic ChokeHornRemoval,
however many of the 'Performance' Holley, Quick Fuel, AED and Demon
Carbs come from the factory without a choke horn. If your carbs
have choke horns they must be removed to mount the SC520 STREETCATCHER. If you have EDELBROCK carbs the scoop can be mounted with just the choke plates removed although choke removal is prefered. |
The
SC520 STREETCATCHER comes as ordered with 2 1/2" tall Hi-Performance
air filter elements which are fine for normal performance use.
If you want to flow more air or just want better quality air filter
elements in your SC520 STREETCATCHER it is designed to accept K&N
E-3310 K&N air filter elements, these filters are 3" tall
and 6 1/4" in diameter. If you have dual 4500 Dominators
